We are looking for a Country Head FRANCE (m/w/d) to join the team at our location in either Cologne (DE), or Tongeren (BE) full-time and from feb 1st on.

Position Purpose

As Country Lead FRANCE (m/w/d) you are responsible for steering our French online business. You play a key role in the execution of the annual operating plan of our French online pharmacy and follow up closely on all relevant marketing campaigns for France. You are responsible for the country’s P&L in our matrix organization. Your position is part of the central country management team that is responsible for the development of all our core markets.

Location either Cologne (DE), Paris (FR) or Tongeren (BE)

Travel Requirement: >20%

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for reaching SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE’s overall P&L targets for the French market
  • Further development and superordinate steering of the business strategy for the French market
  • Management and monitoring of revenues and profitability to reach the defined targets incl. forecasting sales/revenues and marketing costs on regular basis
  • Lead for annual pricing negotiations with strategically important partners and service providers
  • Conduct market and competition analyses to identify market potential and strategic opportunities
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and continuously improve the customer experience, e.g. by optimizing local payment options and logistics processes
  • Develop and implement innovative concepts to further develop the marketing mix
  • Key point of contact for other corporate areas, especially Marketing, Procurement, Category Management and Media Solutions
  • Drive interdisciplinary key projects and key initiatives for
  • Responsibility for leading the country team meetings to align strategic initiatives and priorities


  • Strategic thinking and business acumen within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Entrepreneurial spirit combined with a pragmatic approach and solution-oriented managerial skills
  • Establishment and fostering of relationships both with internal and external parties
  • Planning and execution combined with strong results orientation and the ambition to quickly implement new ideas
  • Excellent negotiation as well as verbal/written communication and presentation skills in French and German OR English
  • Strong analytical ability and numeric skills, well-developed excel know-how, experience with reporting tools
  • Digital Know-How and strong online / technical affinity
  • Enthusiasm for taking over responsibility and further developing an important country for a leading European Online Pharmacy

Qualifications and Experience


    • Master degree in business administration, pharmacy and/or any related scientific, business or technical studies
    • 4+ years of relevant experience in Sales / Business Development within the ecommerce sector  
    • Track record in building up new business areas // generating growth
    • Proven understanding of B2C website models and their business potential


    • Experience within health care industries and pharmacy regulations
    • Experience with distribution channels within the European (online) pharmaceutical market
    • People management and change leadership
