Your tasks

Head of the controlling department of Shop Apotheke Europe N.V. The position comprises both the areas of financial controlling and business controlling. Ranging from corporate finance to business partnering and from internal to external reporting. With a team of 5 direct reports, you are the analytical strong, team player and business partner in business management matters - both for senior management colleagues and the executives in the company. Drive relevant analysis and support, information reporting, progress and valuation creation, lead budget, long-term planning and forecast cycles and investment analysis. Full P&L, from sales to cash and balance sheet. Reporting directly to the CFO.

In detail these are:

  • Responsibility for the preparation and validation of strategic and operative corporate planning and forecast processes as well as coordination and implementation across all departments
  • Responsibility for monthly, quarterly, annual management reporting and deriving recommendations for action for the divisions and departments
  • Monitoring and development of key figures and exchange with internal teams to identify improvement opportunities
  • Further development and expansion of existing controlling processes
  • Design and implementation of new controlling solutions that support management in terms of business management and strategic decision making
  • Strategic and economic evaluation of M&A projects
  • Support Investor Relations
  • Proactive risk management
  • Collaboration in cross-divisional and company-relevant projects
  • Compile ad hoc analyses and scenarios
  • Business partner to departments ranging from operations to marketing, to sourcing, category management, IT, and other support departments
  • Continuous further development of the technical and disciplinary subordinates

Your skill profile

  • Being both a skilled financial and the lead to develop the controlling team and individual team members
  • Successful MBA or degree in Business Administration or Economics, at least Bachelor degree
  • Relevant professional experience, preferably in a B2C e-commerce organization within an international environment
  • Min. 7 years of job experience and at least 5 years leadership of controlling teams or projects with Management Accounting focus
  • Minor travel activity
  • Broad know-how of applying and development of modern controlling-tools
  • In-depth knowledge of cost center calculations, in group accounting as well as investment controlling (business cases, M&A)
  • Deep knowledge in development of KPIs / KPI systems
  • Practical experience with ERP-, reporting-, or planning tools (e.g. SAP, Microsoft AX), SQL or VBA Knowledge desirable
  • Excellent English and business fluent German
