(Junior) Legal Counsel (m/f/d)


Shop Apotheke is a leading e-commerce company and online pharmacy with more than 30% growing rate and a revenue of more than 700 mio. EUR. Shop Apotheke is currently active in seven countries.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advise several departments (Sales, Marketing, IT, Procurement, Product Development, Board) in several European countries in a wide variety of legal topics and matters, including contract law, e-commerce law, pharmaceutical law, online advertising by mail-order pharmacies, corporate governance and compliance, competition law, data privacy law and labor law.
  • Draft, develop, prepare and execute contracts and other legal documents of legal/strategic/financial/regulatory importance.
  • Represent the company in disputes; instruct and monitor the work of outside counsel in cooperation with the General Counsel
  • Review and interpret pending or new legislation or regulatory rules impacting the pharmaceutical business and advise on appropriate compliance measures.
  • Prepare and hold internal compliance courses

The Legal Counsel will be based in Venlo and will strengthen the Legal department, currently consisting of the General Counsel and a Legal Assistant.

Required Qualifications:

  • LLM in Dutch or German Law
  • 3-7 years of experience (as lawyer and/or inhouse legal counsel)
  • Strong team player but maintaining an independent (legal) view
  • Strong project management, communication and interpersonal skills both in a national and international environment
  • Ability to set priorities in a high workload setting
  • Good IT skills Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent English and business fluent German
