We are looking for a Product Owner Media Solutions (m/f/d) to strengthen our team in Cologne (DE) as soon as possible.

Position Purpose

To scale and maximize the monetarization of our platforms and further strengthen our media solution business.

To manage and steady SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE’s competitive advantage and leadership position by ensuring high-class partner management with industry and manufactures. To provide external stakeholders with first-class media solutions and to ensure the development of individually suitable media concepts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively manage and oversee all current media activities within the department and on all platforms
  • Develop media strategy with focus on business and product development to ensure future leadership
  • Establish and maintain the technical setup for our future media platform: actively manage all tools and software from end-to-end
    • Implement currently used tools (adserver, in search-ads) and steer roll-out in all countries
    • Implement and optimize ad space concept (mobile and app)
    • Evaluate further tech landscape (self-booking ad-tool, self-management data tools, DMP / DSP) and continuously implement new tools in the current strategy
    • Ensure internal technical development – including training and education for all stakeholders
  • Manage and foster product development within media solutions:
    • Develop and implement new (mobile) ad concept
    • Ensure 3rd parties revenues stream by drafting, implementing and establishing usage of consumer and data insights
    • Conduct research on relevant topics and ensure continuous innovation within the team
  • Take responsibility for operational excellence:
    • Draft and administer reportings and analysis
    • Establish and maintain database of all clients and industry partners
    • Prepare documents, presentations for internal and external stakeholders
    • Plan, select and manage engagements / budgets of external agencies and suppliers where needed
    • Establish and develop structures and working processes – internally and with focus on external stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

  • Required
    • University degree in Business Administration and/or Information Technology and/or further comparable degree
    • 4+ years of progressive / relevant experience in (digital) Media distribution or media agencies
    • Strong track record in generating growth (cost-reduction / sales increase)
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills
    • Fluency in German & English
  • Preferred
    • Experience with the complexity between media, data content and technology
    • Experience with media distribution within healthcare sector, especially in pharmaceutical industry or online distributors
    • People and change leadership
