We are looking for a Senior Manager Marketplace Development (m/f/d) to join the team at our location in Cologne (DE), full-time.

Position Purpose

As Senior Manager Marketplace Development (m/f/d) you are responsible for the successful launch of the first marketplace in the health sector. With your knowledge and your enthusiasm, you will be part of building up something completely new.  Your position is part of the central platform team that is responsible for the development of all marketplace activities within the company throughout all markets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be part of our Platform team and become one of the marketplace ambassadors in the company
  • Contribute to a successful launch of the first marketplace in the health sector by
    • Targeting future top sellers through relevant acquisition channels
    • Recruiting sellers quickly and efficiently thanks to a mastered sales pitch
    • Ensuring the full visibility of marketplace offers inside and outside the website
  • Drive complex business analysis to achieve business targets and define and monitor relevant KPIs
  • Plan, implement and realize new strategies in the marketplace section
  • Develop new business fields in collaboration with operational teams
  • Establish and realize strategic and operative projects together with the Account Management Team
  • Communicate and negotiate with strategically important internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with internal teams and manage cross-functional resources in a collaborative way
  • Challenge given structures, identify inefficiencies and drive for synergies and solutions for the marketplace success
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and continuously improve the customer experience


  • Strategic thinking and business acumen within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Entrepreneurial spirit combined with a pragmatic approach and solution-oriented managerial skills
  • Establishment and fostering of relationships both with internal and external parties
  • Planning and execution combined with strong results orientation and the ambition to quickly implement new ideas
  • Excellent negotiation as well as verbal/written communication and presentation skills in German and English
  • Strong analytical ability and numeric skills, well-developed excel know-how, experience with reporting tools
  • Digital Know-How and strong online / technical affinity
  • Enthusiasm for taking over responsibility and developing a new platform for a leading European Online Pharmacy

Qualifications and Experience


    • Academic degree in business administration, business or technical studies
    • Several years of relevant experience in sales and management within the ecommerce sector
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
    • Ability to work independently and proactively with a structured approach


    • Experienced in marketplace business or business development experience
    • Experience within health care industries and pharmacy regulations
    • Passion for e-business sector
