Senior Node Developer Healthy Life App / Platform (m/f/d)

IT / RedTecLab GmbH

What is it all about

The Shop Apotheke Healthy Life App is our first step to directly helping our customers live a healthier life.

Healthy Life App is a platform that provides a unified challenge and reward system for many existing health, wellness and health edutainment services and apps. We aim to create challenges targeted at specific health problems, such as diabetes, but also provide more general edutainment.

With this new initiative, we are looking to make a difference for our 3.8 million active customers improving their understanding and their health. We believe that actively investing in the health of our customers is the most rewarding marketing, allowing us to push the boundaries of what a digital pharmacy can be in the eHealth revolution.

Job brief:

We are looking for a Senior Node Developer who is passionate about building products that customers love, trust and choose to continuously engage with.

If you want to make a big impact on millions of peoples’ lives, if you are result-driven and traction-focused, this is an opportunity for you.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, scaling and maintaining the technical architecture and core apis for our non-transaction based user engagement apps and services. You will join a dedicated dynamic and fast-paced environment, work with a small and dedicated team to design, build, ship, and improve the healthy life app/platform.

Your work will include:

  • Planning and implementing well tested and rock solid endpoints for APIs, so that our customers can enjoy a silky smooth user experience using the apps which are consuming these APIs.
  • Enhancing and improving the application setup as well as our fully cloud based infrastructure using up-to-date tools and technologies like Nodejs, koa/express, Docker/Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform and much more.
  • Helping us build and maintain continuous testing environments for our APIs.
  • Making sure that the whole application is well documented and a pleasure to onboard so that we can continue to grow our team.

What we would expect from you:

  • Basically there is only one major requirement we have: you should simply enjoy building great applications, writing robust and clean code!
  • If you can combine this with some significant experience with Node (or a similar modern stack that allows you to build great APIs), we’re very interested to meet for a coffee!
  • Apart from that, since we strongly believe that software development is a team sport, it’d be helpful for you to be self organized and not afraid of interacting with others. Especially since this position also includes guiding other developers in your team and help them out, when they get stuck.
  • For us this also includes a certain ability to find pragmatic solutions for complex problems and being able to accept that there are always multiple ways to achieve a given goal.
  • You should also be able to speak English fluently (and it could definitely help to speak a some German as well).

What do we offer?

  • A challenging full-time position and great potential for you to grow and develop yourself.
  • Subsidized sport activities, fruits, coffee, tea and water for free.
  • Great freedom and autonomy to take ownership make decisions and have major impacts to let your ideas make a real difference.
  • Relaxed dress-code.
  • Unique & agile start-up sub culture within a fast growing young company that recently IPOed.
  • Taking part in shaping a strategical initiative that innovates on how tomorrows consumer relations in eHealth and commerce unfold.
  • Free job ticket.
  • Plenty of room for personal growth, professional development and high impact.
  • Christmas and summer parties.
  • A highly talented, dynamic, and international team.
