The company placed first out of 14 providers analyzed in the mail order pharmacy category, receiving a top score of 76 out of 100 possible points.
The biggest benchmark survey of its kind in the German-speaking markets to date was conducted by consultancy absolit and looked at a total of 5,037 major companies from nine sectors. Overall, 143 criteria covering customer dialogue, technology, security, new customer recruitment, compliance with legal requirements, automation and design were used to evaluate the quality of the companies’ email marketing efforts.
The survey showed that online pharmacies’ email marketing is in a good position compared to most other sectors analyzed; their average score of around 60 % of the maximum number of points achievable was higher than that for most other categories. SHOP APOTHEKE easily outperformed the online pharmacy average, scoring 76 % for first place in the category. Overall, 95 percent of the renowned companies analyzed in the survey were using emails and newsletters for marketing purposes. Compared to online pharmacies, however, most companies are far from reaching their potential with an average score of just 34 percent across all sectors surveyed.
